Stamped concrete

or decorative concrete or patterned concrete or concrete stamping, is concrete that is designed to resemble brick, slate, flagstone, stone, tile, and even wood. It can be used to beautify your patios, pool decks, driveways, entries, courtyards, and boat docks.

Why would you want Stamped concrete over Pavers and Cobblestone? Well, Pavers and Cobblestone can settle unevenly after the freeze/thaw cycle of winter. In the spring and summer, pavers get grass and weed growth in the joints. Insects can live in the joints, which can make the pavers uneven and a tripping hazard. You will be spraying chemicals to get rid of weeds and insects. Also there is, the maintenance of replacing sand in the joints that has been washed or blown out.

With Stamped concrete, reinforced steel in the middle is giving it strength to resist the freezing and thawing of the ground. There are less joins in the stamped concrete for weeds and insects to live. As for maintenance, with the Stamped concrete a wash now and then is all that is needed; just like your kitchen floor.

Stamped concrete has a longer service life, greater durability and less maintenance. Plus, stamped concrete can be designed into any shape. It can be tinted or painted to a wide range of colors, and patterned or molded to look like other materials.
